Francis Weiss has been working for now more than 25 years for Aeronautics.
As a flight engineer, he was appointed for ten years by the French Flight Test Centre, testing navigation systems, auto pilots, flight instruments, optronics and rescue. He then joined the STERIA software company, at first consultant then head of the Aeronautics Department.
Fall 1996, he joined Aeroports De Paris as a programme manager for baggage sorting facilities including Hold Baggage Screening and people movers, also responsible for different technical surveys.
Since early 2000, he is valorising SAGEM new technologies such as biometrics, smart-cards (including electronic passports and visas), software security and wireless within airports also leading projects such as biometric access control for employees and automated border control or self boarding for passengers. He also represents SAGEM in some ACI Europe and IATA working groups.
Francis is graduated from the French Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Superieure de l’Aeronautique et de l’Espace. He was also a military licensed pilot.
